What is Kind of Blue about?
In 1940s New York, a devolving middle-aged man's patriarchal role completely dissolves as he deals with sexual impotency, the lost of his breadwinner role to his wife, the psychological scars of an overbearing father and his collegiate daughter's disregard for needing his blessing towards her suddenly getting married. Meanwhile, his daughter challenges her ineffectual -yet talented- fiance to affirm his worth as protector, sexual partner, and provider. As both men confront their inadequacies, they are pushed to desperate measures that transform their lives.
